About Course

The Modern Desktop Administrator must be familiar with Microsoft 365 workloads and must have strong skills and experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining Windows client and non-Windows devices. The Modern Desktop Administrator role focuses on cloud services rather than on-premises management technologies.

 

This intermediate Microsoft Desktop Administrator Associate training covers the objectives in the MD-100 and MD-101 exams, which are the two exams required to earn the Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate certification.

 

The total training duration is 10 days, that is

  • MD-100, Windows Client (5 days),
  • MD-101, Managing Modern Desktops (5 days).

 

Exam MD-100: Windows Client

Candidates for this exam are IT professionals who have subject matter expertise in installing, configuring, and maintaining Microsoft Windows clients within a domain infrastructure. Responsibilities include protecting and maintaining the reliability of the Windows device and the data stored on the device. Candidates for this exam administer Windows clients in an Azure Active Directory environment. Candidates for this exam may collaborate with the Microsoft 365 enterprise administrator, the Microsoft 365 security administrator, and Windows Server administrators to implement a modern desktop and device strategy that meets the business needs of an organization.

Candidates for this exam must be familiar with device management, client computer networking, policy-based management, and cloud-based solutions.

 

Exam MD-101: Managing Modern Desktops

Candidates for this exam are IT professionals who have subject matter expertise in installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows clients within a domain infrastructure. Responsibilities include protecting and maintaining the reliability of the Windows device and the data stored on the device. Candidates for this exam administer Windows clients in an Active Directory environment. Candidates for this exam may collaborate with the Microsoft 365 enterprise administrator, the Microsoft 365 security administrator, and Windows Server administrators to implement a modern desktop and device strategy that meets the business needs of an organization.
