Fiber to Home (FTTH) Specialist (CFOSH)® Training

About Course

Africa’s broadband future is fiber. The CFOSH specialization focuses specifically on Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) and FTTx network deployment. This hands-on course prepares technicians, engineers, and ISP teams to design, install, and activate fiber connections to homes and businesses using industry-standard PON technologies.

What Will You Learn?

  • FTTH Architectures – Master PON technologies (GPON, EPON, XGS-PON)
  • ODN Design – Plan optical distribution networks with splitter placement
  • Installation Techniques – Deploy drop cables and terminate at premises
  • Activation & Testing – Configure ONT/ONU and verify service delivery
  • Troubleshooting – Diagnose and resolve common FTTH issues

Audience

  • ISP Deployment Teams – Rolling out FTTH networks to subscribers
  • Network Engineers – Designing access networks and FTTH infrastructure
  • Telecom Contractors – Installing residential and business fiber
  • Utility Companies – Deploying smart grid and broadband fiber
  • CFOT-Certified Technicians – Specializing in FTTH deployment
  • Project Managers – Overseeing broadband expansion projects
