About Course
Africa’s broadband future is fiber. The CFOSH specialization focuses specifically on Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) and FTTx network deployment. This hands-on course prepares technicians, engineers, and ISP teams to design, install, and activate fiber connections to homes and businesses using industry-standard PON technologies.
What Will You Learn?
- FTTH Architectures – Master PON technologies (GPON, EPON, XGS-PON)
- ODN Design – Plan optical distribution networks with splitter placement
- Installation Techniques – Deploy drop cables and terminate at premises
- Activation & Testing – Configure ONT/ONU and verify service delivery
- Troubleshooting – Diagnose and resolve common FTTH issues
Audience
- ISP Deployment Teams – Rolling out FTTH networks to subscribers
- Network Engineers – Designing access networks and FTTH infrastructure
- Telecom Contractors – Installing residential and business fiber
